11 May- 30th June 2015: PhD student Marijke Hummel on fieldwork in Malawi, where she was based in our partner organisation CIAT at Chitedze research station, Malawi. Marijke conducted stakeholder interviews with different organizations and companies in Malawi that are producing, working with or have an interest in biofortified beans. MArijke also conducted fieldwork in 3 communities (Northern and Central Malawi) on women’s cooking preferences of beans and sensory tests of different bean varieties with a total of 150 farmers.
